Welcome to HLC Studio, where elevated design meets functionality. We create interiors that feel collected – blending new and old harmoniously to tell a story. While our full-service interior design firm is based in California and Idaho, we travel all over the United States for projects.

Meet Hayley
I grew up in California, with summers in the mountains — outdoors, around a table, close to the nature. That's where I learned what a home is actually for. Not to impress. To hold a life.

My dad was an architectural designer. I grew up on job sites, then built a career in construction — which means I understand how things are actually built, not just how they look. That foundation is in every project we take on.

But it was movies that gave me the feeling. The Father of the Bride house. The London townhouse from The Parent Trap. Light, romantic, charming, always something blooming. Spaces that make you feel something before you can explain why.

In 2020, I took everything I had learned — the job sites, the construction years, the feeling — and founded HLC Studio around one idea: that great design romanticizes the mundane. That your home should tell your story and reflect the life you want to create.

I design the same way — weaving in the things that matter to a family so quietly that guests feel it before they see it.
When I'm not designing, I'm on a horse, in a garden, spending time with my family, or slowing down on a Sunday morning with a good coffee. I split my time between California and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho — and both live in everything I make.
