September:

Leaning into autumn

There’s something about early September that softens the edges. The air shifts just enough to bring a crispness to mornings, the pace slows, and we begin to crave warmth—in our routines, our homes, our closets. After a season of brightness, we’re leaning into richer tones, layered textures, and grounding rituals.

This month’s edit is rooted in quiet luxury—tailored silhouettes, polished details, and pieces that feel thoughtful, not fussy. From handsome coats to tactile spaces, we’re inspired by a season of subtle shifts and everyday elegance.

What We’re Up To

As we ease into fall, studio life is buzzing in the best way. We’re in the thick of design and planning for several major projects—from the layered romance of our French Country Project, to the charming details of Grove House, and early concepts for Holland and Garden Hollow taking shape. It's a season of moodboards, client meetings, and finding those just-right details and pushing ourselves in design.

We’re also heading to the East Coast this fall—soaking in the changing leaves, gathering inspiration from old towns and cozy inns, and reconnecting with some favorite vintage shops and makers. It’s the kind of trip that always leaves us creatively recharged and ready for the next chapter.

BURGUNDY

Our color of the season

Burgundy has taken hold of our moodboards lately. It’s romantic, a touch moody, and quietly powerful. Whether it’s a vintage velvet chair or a structured wool coat, this color has a confidence that doesn’t try too hard.

We’re seeing it across interiors and wardrobes—paired with crisp whites, heavy linens, dark woods, or even brass. In design, it brings warmth and a hint of formality; in fashion, it feels effortless and timeless. A small dose (a book cover, a lipstick, a trim) goes a long way. But when you're ready, commit to the full look.

CHOCOLATE LAYERS

Chocolate brown is having its moment, and we’re fully on board. There’s a richness and warmth to this shade that feels endlessly wearable and livable. Whether it’s a layered trench, a paneled study, or a wrapped leather detail, this color brings sophistication without pretense.

We love it most when it's not too perfect—aged woods, weathered leather, worn coats. Think layering, texture, and timelessness.

WATCHES

The perfect autumn staple

Minimal, elegant, and quietly luxurious—this season, we’re pairing classic watches with just about everything. They’re the punctuation mark on a good outfit, and the grounding piece in a layered home.

We love the balance: a crisp metal edge against soft knits, or leather bands against structured tailoring. It’s not about being flashy—it’s about investing in pieces that tell a story, and keeping time with intention.
